Preview: Comedians of Comedy Tour

Since he started his Comedians of Comedy tour (which first spawned a documentary, and then a series on Comedy Central), Patton Oswalt has become the voice of a Pixar main character. His cohorts have done well, too—Zach Galifianakis is directing Kanye West videos, Brian Posehn is pretty much everywhere (he’s been hilarious on the “Sarah Silverman Program,” appeared on almost every sitcom worth watching in the last few years—from “Seinfeld” to “Reno 911”—and even showed up in a cameo in the “Fantastic Four” sequel) and Maria Bamford is, well, Maria Bamford, one of the best female comics working today. Fame hasn’t changed Oswalt and company, though—if anything, it’s the world that’s come around to their tilted point of view. A few other comedians “TBA” are scheduled to show up (CoC’s Eugene Mirman, or Doug Benson and John Mulaney are good guesses), but no matter who else appears, just having Oswalt, Posehn and Bamford in the same place together will make the night a classic. At the Vic Theatre, 3145 N. Sheffield. This production is now closed.
